| A: | The Condorcet voting tool is used for votes where members may want to rank their choices, rather than just picking their one favourite. This system does away with the need for strategic voting, and tends to produce results that more accurately reflect the wishes of the voters than the first-past-the-post voting system.
When the votes are tallied, each candidate is paired off against all other candidates. Each voter's preferences are checked to see which of the two candidates they preferred and the candidate who was preferred by more voters is the winner of that paired election. This process is repeated for every possible pairing of candidates. The winning candidate is the one who wins the most paired elections. last edit by steve 2168 days ago |
