| A: | There's a form below the list of topics where you can set the number of hours of posts that you want to see. You can set it to 0.5 hours or 3600 hours. Have fun. If you allow cookies in your browser, this setting will "stick" so it stays the same the next time you visit the TAT page. | Q: | Why is quoted text not displayed in TAT? What does [QUOTE] mean in the post blurbs? |
| A: | That's a feature. I thought it would be better to see what the poster wrote in the new message, rather than what was quoted from a previous message. An exception is made if the original poster posted less than 20 characters of original text. In this case, quoted text is left in the TAT display, shown in italics. This should prove useful for posts that consist primarily of quoted news sources. If the quoted text is removed, it is replaced with [QUOTE] in the TAT post blurb, if it is left in, the quote is prefixed with [QUOTE] to indicate that it is a quote. last edit by steve 2560 days ago |

| A: | Any images that appear in the post will be replaced with [IMAGE]. Having images appear in the TAT output makes it too cluttered and difficult to scan. An exception is made for the built-in forum smilies. last edit by steve 2560 days ago |

| A: | TAT is actually completely independent of the forum software itself. It is written in Perl, while the main forum site is written in PHP.
